“Astrolabe” is the name of a historical instrument used by astronomers and seamen in navigation and observation of the sun and stars, from the 2nd century B.C. to the 18th century A.D.

The hotel was named “Astrolabe”, because of clear nights, one can observe details of the starry skies above the Euboean Gulf and the Aegean even with the naked eye.

Built with respect for the urban architectural tradition of Euboea, the “Astrolabe” hotel is located in the hamlet of Chronia, which lies 4 klm outside the town of Limni to the north-west. It is only 150 metres from the sea side, so that on quiet evenings of the Euboean one can hear the water wash against the beach.

The “Astrolabe” offers year-round comfort to each visitor. It is located where the sky, the sea and the mountain meet.
